Geographic data is strictly land based searches. This is a very popular filter type as it gives users a variety of options for searching for wells.
One common request and need is to search by township/section/range and survey & abstract data. The Land Grid option allows that.

You can also search by Plays and Basins. These search for wells that fall in the geographical boundary of a play. See below for an example.
