What data is contained in Interpreted Formation Records?

This articles gives an overview of fields that can be found in the Interpreted Formation Record. Interpreted formation records contains formation data as calculated using our proprietary defined tops and interpolation algorithm.

Formation Data

  • Formation Name: Formation name
  • Reported Formation Name: Formation name as reported

Depth and Thickness Measurements

  • Top Depth: Top depth of formation
  • Base Depth: Depth of the base of the formation
  • Top Tvd: Formation top true vertical depth
  • Base Tvd: True vertical depth of the base of the formation
  • Thickness: Thickness of formation
  • Tvd Thickness: Thickness of formation (Deprecated)

Production and Completion Data

  • Perf Ft In Formation: Number of feet perforated in this formation
  • Is Producing: Flag represents if well is producing
  • Completion Id: State completion identifier

Records Management

  • Well Id: Unique well identifier
  • Simple Id: Well identifier as an integer for simple and quick querying
  • Id: Internal unique identifier for the formation record
  • Internal Id: Unique record identifier as an integer for quick querying
  • Date Created: Date record was created in WellDatabase
  • Date Last Modified: Date record was last modified in WellDatabase
  • Date Catalogued: Date and time record was catalogued into the export database

Additional Information

  • Comments: Any comments left in regards to the formation
