How do I find the changes in operators over time?

Over time, the operators responsible for a well can change. We keep track of these changes as part of the production record in our database.

Our production record captures the history of operators over time that are reported by to the state agency. However it is important to note, there are times, when an operator does change through an acquisition, but the new company continues to operate and report based on the old company name. In these cases, we will continue to capture the operator reported.

Having this historical data readily available allows us to identify trends, patterns, and potential correlations between different operators and well performance. It also enables us to evaluate the impact of operator changes on production efficiency and overall operational success.

Production Export

The report date column in the production export will show the month and year of production, while the operator column will display the reported operator.

In the example below for CASPARIS 1 (42-331-31198-0000), you can see a snip-it of the operator changes over time for this well.
