Which 3rd party apps do you support exporting into?
WellDatabase supports exporting data into all of your favorite applications. Here's a list of those.
One of the most common workflows using WellDatabase is to export data from our application into common 3rd party applications. Luckily, we support just about anything you can imagine. Here is a list of applications that we support:
- ARIES
- ComboCurve
- Excel (Customize the record types and columns included)
- GeoGraphix
- GeoParquet
- Landmark (OpenWorks)

- PETRA (Import via: Project → Import → PETRA Ascii Well Data File)
- PHDwin (Compatible with V2 and V3, for well-level or lease-level data)

Q: Why are my Excel or CSV exports not showing the data I expected?
A: When exporting to Excel or CSV, you must select the record types and attributes (columns) you want included. Only selected data will be included in the export.
Q: What are “attributes” in the export tool?
A: In the data export wizard, attributes refer to the columns that will appear in your Excel or CSV file. You can choose which attributes to include based on your workflow.
Q: How do I import into Petra?
A: Petra supports ASCII-based imports. In Petra, navigate to: Project → Import → PETRA ASCII Well Data File → Then select the exported file from WellDatabase. Do not rename the file to .PPF.
Q: How do I import into ARIES?
