What data is contained in Permit Records?

This articles gives an overview of the data fields that can be found in the Permit Records.

Permit 

  • Permit Id: State-issued permit identifier
  • Filed By: Operator who submitted the permit
  • Permit Status: Current status (e.g., Approved, Work in progress, Mapping review)
  • Permit Purpose: Intended use (e.g., New drill, Reclassification, Recompletion, Reenter)
  • Comments: Additional notes about the permit

Location Information

  • Latitude and Longitude: Surface location coordinates reported on the permit record 
  • Bottom Hole Latitude and Bottom Hole Longitude: Bottom hole location coordinates reported on the permit record 
  • Target Formation: Formation targeted by this permit

Important Dates

  • Submitted Date: Date when the permit was submitted
  • Approved Date: Date when the permit was approved
  • Amended Date: Date of the last amendment date of the permit
  • Expired Date: When the permit expires (if applicable)
  • Rejected Date: When the permit was rejected
  • Cancelled Date: When the permit was cancelled

Record Management

  • Id: Internal unique Identifier 
  • Internal Id: Unique record identifier as an integer for quick querying
  • Well Id: Unique well identifier
  • Simple Id: Integer-based well identifier for quick querying
  • Date Created: Initial record creation in WellDatabase
  • Date Last Modified: Last modification in WellDatabase
  • Date Catalogued: Addition to export database
