How do I find the changes in operators over time?

Well operators can change throughout the life of a well. WellDatabase maintains historical operator information so you can review when reported operator changes occurred and which operators were associated with the well over time.

 In this article, we'll use CASPARIS 1 (Link: 42-331-31198-0000) as an example. 

You can review operator changes directly from the Well Details page or in exports with the History Record or the Production Record.

View Operator Changes in Well Details

The History section on the Well Details page provides the simplest way to review reported operator changes for an individual well.

  1. Open the well's Well Details page.

  2. Select History from the sections on the left.

  3. Review the historical records. Operator changes display the Effective date, Operator, Field, and Comments.

 

Export Operator History

History is also available as a record type in the Data Export Wizard. Use the History record when you need to export historical operator changes for one or more wells.

Review Operator Changes With Monthly Production

If you want to see operator changes in the context of monthly production, you can also use a Production export.

The ReportDate column identifies the production month and year, while the Operator column shows the operator associated with that production record. Reviewing these columns together allows you to see how the reported operator changes across the well's production history.
